Nothing
Wasted.
Everything
Returned.

The refrigerant inside decommissioned HVAC equipment is one of the most potent greenhouse gases on Earth. The copper and silver are federally designated critical minerals. The T&K Return to Marketplace recovers both — and returns them to the supply chains America depends on.

Every pound of refrigerant recovered prevents thousands of pounds of CO₂-equivalent emissions. Every coil reclaimed restores critical copper to domestic production. Every cylinder exchanged closes the loop. This is what we built — and it's open to every HVAC company, tech, and facility in the country.

Why This Matters — The Numbers
Every Load Has a Real-World Impact.
14,800×
GWP Factor
R-404A's global warming potential vs CO₂. One pound recovered = preventing 14,800 lbs CO₂-equivalent emissions.
85%+
HFC Phase-Down
Mandated under the AIM Act. New HFC production shrinks every year. Reclaimed refrigerant becomes the only supply.

Critical Minerals
Copper and silver — both U.S. Critical Minerals — recovered from every HVAC unit and returned to domestic supply chains.
ARI-700
Certified Reclaimed
Refrigerant processed to ARI-700 spec is legally identical to virgin production — same quality, fully documented.

Every Pound
Recovered is a
Ton of CO₂e
Prevented.

HFC refrigerants are among the most destructive greenhouse gases ever released into the atmosphere. Unlike CO₂ which disperses over centuries, HFCs accumulate and warm the planet at rates that dwarf anything else in common industrial use.

When a unit is improperly decommissioned and refrigerant vents — which happens millions of times per year across the HVAC industry — the atmospheric damage is immediate and long-lasting. T&K's certified recovery process stops that from happening. Every pound we capture is a pound that never reaches the sky.

Two Critical Minerals.
In Every Unit.
Going to the Landfill.

The federal government has formally designated copper and silver as Critical Minerals — materials essential to national economic security, clean energy infrastructure, and defense manufacturing. Both exist in every HVAC unit ever made. Most of it gets landfilled. T&K changes that.

COPPER
U.S. Critical Mineral — Designated by Executive Order

Copper is the backbone of every electrical and thermal system in HVAC equipment. It cannot be replaced. It is found in coils, tubing, wiring, motor windings, and heat exchangers in every unit built in the last century.

The U.S. imports a significant portion of its copper because domestic mining cannot meet demand. Every pound recovered from HVAC equipment and returned to the supply chain reduces that dependency.

Evaporator and condenser coils — pure copper tubing
Refrigerant lines — high-grade copper pipe
Electrical wiring and motor windings
Heat exchanger surfaces and thermal transfer components
SILVER
U.S. Critical Mineral — Designated by Executive Order

Silver is the highest conductivity metal on Earth and is irreplaceable in precision electrical contacts, brazing alloys, and sensor components. Modern HVAC systems use silver extensively in components that require superior thermal and electrical performance.

Unlike gold, silver has no viable substitute for many of its industrial applications. As clean energy and electronics demand grows, silver supply becomes increasingly strategic — and recovering it from the HVAC waste stream is one of the most practical domestic sources available.

Brazing alloys — silver solder used in all copper-to-copper joints
Electrical contacts in thermostats, controls, and relays
Sensor components and precision measurement devices
Anti-microbial coatings in modern air handler components
America Designated These Minerals Critical.
We're Recovering Them.

The same minerals that power the clean energy economy, defense electronics, and industrial manufacturing are sitting in HVAC equipment on job sites across the country. T&K built the infrastructure to recover them, pay for them, and return them to the domestic supply chain at scale.

From Your Job Site
to the Nation's Supply.

Five steps. Every job. The waste stream closed, the supply chain restocked, and your payout in hand.

01
Field Recovery

EPA-certified tech recovers refrigerant and removes equipment on-site. Every pound documented from first connection.

02
Cylinder Exchange & Metals Separation

Tanks exchanged and logged. Copper, silver, and scrap sorted and weighed. Every material accounted for with full documentation.

03
Sent to Reclaimer

Recovered refrigerant shipped directly to EPA-certified reclaimers for processing to ARI-700 purity standard. Critical minerals enter domestic material processing.

04
You Get Paid

Full itemized breakdown delivered. Payout based on purity levels, sustainability commitment, compliance record, and current market prices. Zero out-of-pocket.

05
National Resupply

ARI-700 certified refrigerant re-enters the market through T&K's distribution network. Copper and silver return to domestic supply chains. CO₂e emissions prevented permanently. The waste stream is closed.

As a Supplier
You Feed
the Marketplace.

Every pound your techs recover enters the resupply network. You get paid per pound based on purity and market price — and you get priority access to reclaimed refrigerant for your next job. HVAC companies, independent techs, and facilities teams all qualify.
